Pamlico Sound is quickly becoming world famous for its "Bull Red" fishery. These breeding fish populate the sound during August and September and provide unbelievable thrills and excitement for the experienced and novice angler alike. The brutes can be targeted by the classic cut bait on the bottom technique which lends itself to the desire of many anglers especially kids. They can also be fished with with a variety of jigs and topwater baits as the fish often school around raised bait. Although all of the fishing is catch and release, the opportunity for N.C. citation award fish is always there. Experience the quest for a true Pamlico giant and book a big drum trip with Marsh Magic Guide Service.
